Hi-Fi Do is going to vacate Moriyama warehouse in one month.
Our shop managers went to there to clear the goods stored there.
When the shutter was opened they were so surprised to watch
a lot of audio products covering the floor of 200 square meters and
several piles of audio gears.
They struggled to find the items which could be sold at their shops
till sunset.
Some items will be displayed as special bargain at our shops.

1."Walking around Akihabara" by Taro Akiba
A serial essay "Walking around Akihabara" by Taro Akiba is going to
start this week.
This essay is irregularly inserted in our Newsletter. The following
is the writer's message :
Today it was a fine day and I went to Akihabara aimlessly by bicycle.
As usual, I dropped by Hi-Fi Do. Everything looked same as ever
because I visit Hi-Fi Do every other day. I found a small amplifier
covered with dust at the corner which I have never watched before.
I asked Shop Manager, "What is this?" He said, "This amplifier has
arrived just now and I have never watched it." Then, he checked it up
with guide book. He found that it was SANSUI's model produced in 1956
when I was born. I decided to buy it though I really didn't want to
get it.
I asked him to turn it on. But he said," It is so old model that I
don't want to recommend it". However, I wanted to get it against his
advice and I turned it on by myself. At first the sound was unclear
but gradually getting better and clear.
I said, " I take it." "Really? You should reconsider it.", he said.
Finally he told that he could not guarantee it if there was something
wrong with it. I asked him to guarantee for three days and he accepted
10- days guarantee. His kind suggestion made me happy and I was
satisfied with the price by negotiation.
I paid and loaded it into the basket of bicycle. Then, I hastened home
by bicycle . Usually I dropped several stores after shopping but I
went home directly because I was so glad to save the money.
This is the beginning of my SANSUI amplifier's story.
To be continued.
2.Disassembly and Reassembly of "JBL4343"
This week we would like to disassemble "JBL4343" requested
by Mr. Kenji Kondo who cherishes JBL4344Mk2. His comment on request
is as below:
JBL4344Mk2 became more wide-ranged and refined studio monitor by
adopting technical innovation of JBL4343.
Essentially the studio monitor is produced as professional use in
recording studio.
However, Japanese audiophiles noticed remarkable potentiality of JBL
studio monitor and at present a hundred units of JBL monitors generate
high quality sound beyond the designer's expectation in listening room
of high-end audiophiles.
I also longed to obtain JBL4343/B in those days. Speaker units are
the most attractive items among JBL products with their outstanding
features. It seems that such excellent sound of JBL can not be
generated without the speaker units.
Mr Kondo requested us to check the following items by disassembly:
1.Tweeter/Completion Driver
2.Woofer/Middle Bass
3.Horn/Lens (length of horn)
4.Network
5.Combination of Enclosure
6.Absorption material
We've got the unexpected result after disassembly.
Please see the details of disassembling procedure of JBL4343
